— Small houses are a popular choice for those looking for comfortable and meaningful living spaces. This article discusses a 42 sqm small house built with comfort and efficiency in mind. Blending modern style with traditional Filipino touches, this house uses natural materials. A perfect example, this small house can inspire you.

Facade

The simple 42-square-meter house has a charming appearance. Natural and modern materials are combined to create a harmonious balance. Bamboo terrace railings and a roof with leaf fringes give a natural impression and add a traditional touch.

There are two doors, with the main door leading directly to the main room and the second door leading to the kitchen. There are many French windows to allow optimal light to enter, minimizing the use of electric lighting.

Living Area

Upon entering the house, you are immediately greeted by a warm atmosphere thanks to the combination of neutral colors. Rattan tables and chairs were chosen to give a natural touch. This house applies an open space concept to the living area, bedroom, kitchen, and dining area to make the house feel more spacious.

Bedroom

There are two beds, the first is near the living area and the second is in the loft. Loft bedroom has synthetic rattan used for the walls. Abaca rope is used as a loft bedroom divider. The first floor bed is also well designed with bamboo panels and attached plant decorations to avoid a monotonous look.

Kitchen

L-shaped kitchen layout with white color dominates to give a spacious and bright impression. Open shelves make it easy to find items. A small window near the stove allows air to enter and keeps the area cool. LED lights hidden under the upper cabinets give a warm and dramatic impression.

Dining Area

There are two dining areas, one indoor and one outdoor. Outdoor Dining Area is located on the terrace of the house and has a wooden table with simple chairs that can seat 3 people.

Indoor dining area is integrated with the kitchen. It is designed similarly to a mini bar and has 2 minimalist chairs. Bamboo decorations give a warm impression and marble tables give an elegant impression.

Bathroom

The bathroom is designed in a modern style but still uses natural materials. The dry and wet areas are separated by a transparent divider, giving it a modern touch. Patterned walls make the room feel more artistic. Natural stone in the bathroom serves to enhance aesthetics, maintain safety, and create a natural feel.
